#TextsFromMom Mother's Day ad by Samsung is equal parts funny and cute

Mother's Day isn't that far off and naturally companies are releasing all sorts of advertisements that tug at your heartstrings and compel you to buy whatever it is that they're selling. Samsung certainly doesn't want to be left behind so it has released an ad of its own. Titled #TextsFromMom the ad is equal parts funny and cute as it shows how mothers are likely to use the text messaging feature of their smartphone.

The ad runs for about one minute and while the focus might be on those text messages you can't help but notice that Samsung's latest flagship handsets are front and center in this advertisement. Why wouldn't they be, after all it's the Galaxy S6 that Samsung is trying to sell. This ad is going to ring true with anybody who has ever taught their mother how to text and has then been on the receiving end of those text messages, how at times they can be overbearing but never without love, care and affection. Samsung wraps it up by reminding us that it's better to call mom this Sunday on Mother's Day then just replying to her texts.
