Most of the specifications of Samsung’s upcoming foldable phones have leaked over the past couple of months. Now, a tipster with an extremely reliable track record has revealed the most important specifications of the Galaxy Z Fold 8, including what could be the fastest charging speeds on a Samsung foldable phone.
Tipster Ahmed Qwaider claims that the Galaxy Z Fold 8 features a 5.5-inch cover display and a 7.6-inch internal foldable display. The cover screen has a 16:10 aspect ratio, while the internal screen has a 4:3 aspect ratio. Both displays reportedly use Dynamic AMOLED 2x panels with a variable refresh rate of up to 120Hz.
When folded, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 measures 123.9 x 81.9 x 9.7mm. When unfolded, it measures 123.9 x 161.4 x 4.5mm. That would make it thicker than the Galaxy Z Fold 7 in both folded and unfolded states.
The tipster also claims that the Galaxy Z Fold 8 weighs 201g, making it lighter than all previous Galaxy Z Fold series devices.
In terms of imaging, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 reportedly features a 50MP + 50MP dual-camera setup on the rear. The 50MP wide-angle (primary) camera is said to have an F1.8 aperture, while the 50MP ultrawide camera has an F1.9 aperture. It also reportedly features two 10MP front-facing cameras with F2.2 apertures, one for each of the phone’s screens.
The phone is also rumored to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy processor. It is said to feature 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, with 512GB and 1TB storage variants also expected.
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 is reportedly powered by a 4,800mAh battery and supports 45W wired fast charging and 15W wireless fast charging.
