The United States of America commemorates its 250th anniversary next month and to celebrate this major milestone, Samsung has announced three new art curations for the Samsung Art Store.
These collections have been curated by Samsung's lead curator Daria Greene and they showcase the country's diverse stories, artistic endeavors, and enduring spirit.
The collections available on the Samsung Art Store cover historical periods including the nation's founding to the vibrancy of 1980s New York. It includes some iconic works from celebrated American artists and institutions.
The collection, named America at 250, launches June 29 through the Samsung Art Store. It will be available on most models that support the company's art platform.
Some notable pieces include Gilbert Stuart's unfinished likeness of George Washington which later went on to become the model for the one-dollar bill. It also features Native American art from the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, collection as well as vintage Fourth of July postcards.
Also being made available on June 29 is the American Masters collection that highlights pieces depicting 20th-century American art and culture from notable visual storytellers.
It's a collection of works from Samsung Art Store's many museum partners, including the Art Institute of Chicago, SFMOMA, and the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
