In 2025, there was a period when people complained that Samsung phones were not getting Google Play System updates regularly. It seems Google and Samsung took those complaints to heart, as they have been rolling out these updates quite frequently over the past few months.
In April and May, Galaxy smartphones received two Google Play System updates each month, bringing the total to four updates. As soon as June began, they received another update, and now there is yet another Google Play System update for Samsung's Android devices.

We received the latest Google Play System update on our Galaxy S26 Ultra in India. It is 98MB in size and is dated 1 May 2026 patch, just like the previous update.
To install it, go to Settings > About phone > Software information > Google Play System update > Check for updates. At the moment, there's no information about the changes it brings.
