In mid-March, Samsung planned to manufacture 2.4 million units of the Galaxy S26 series in April. However, the following month, the company raised the production target to 3 million units after demand for the lineup exceeded expectations. Now, a similar situation appears to be unfolding again.
In early April, Samsung was said to be planning to produce 1.9 million to 2.1 million units of the Galaxy S26 series in May. However, a new report from ZDNet claims that the company has increased the target to 2.4 million to 2.5 million units in response to stronger-than-expected demand for the series.
More specifically, Samsung is planning to make 1 million units of the standard model, 200,000 units of the Plus version, and 1.2 to 1.3 million units of the Ultra variant. It shows that the brand for the most premium model is still the strongest, followed by that of the standard version.
Commenting on the matter, an individual from the components market said: “It is generally expected that component orders would decrease by now (about two months after the launch of the Galaxy S26 series in March), but order volumes remain steady compared to initial forecasts .“
