Samsung is rolling out a software update to its first smartphone with a tri-folding display, the Galaxy Z TriFold, which, according to recent reports, has been discontinued. It brings the March 2026 security patch, which fixes 65 security issues present in the previous version of the OS.
As usual, Samsung’s home country, South Korea, is the first to get it (via Samsung Community), and the brand should release it in other regions in the next few days. To check its availability in your country and to get it, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
The Galaxy Z TriFold isn't the only Samsung smartphone that has received the latest security patch. The company has also offered it to the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, and Galaxy S25.
Speaking of the Galaxy Z TriFold, data shows that Samsung discontinuing it was actually a smart move. We have also learned that the South Korean tech giant is working on the phone's successor, and it is said to be thinner.
