Samsung is one of the biggest names at the 2026 Winter Olympic Games. Beyond its role as the official mobile partner, the company is helping the International Olympic Committee organize, officiate, and broadcast the events.
Two Samsung monitors are at the heart of these operations: the ViewFinity S8 and the Odyssey Ark. As Samsung puts it, “We're proud to see our professional monitors used in these real-world settings.”
ViewFinity S8
This 37-inch powerhouse is stationed in officiating zones right next to the field. Its mission? Give officials a massive view to analyze split-second action captured by high-speed cameras and decide who crossed the finish line first.

In sports like short track speed skating, races can be won or lost by just 0.001 seconds. Every pixel matters, and with a 4K resolution, the ViewFinity S8 has plenty of those.
Odyssey Ark
The 55-inch Odyssey Ark remains one of the most impressive Samsung monitors you can buy. With a 1,000R curved 4K screen, a 16:9 aspect ratio, and Cockpit mode, it may be the most immersive Samsung display available today.
At the Olympics, it’s at the center of video rooms run by Olympic Broadcasting Services. It allows officials to keep an eye on multiple live feeds at once.
With a 1ms response time, Samsung says the Ark is not just huge and immersive, but lightning-fast for smooth, real-time monitoring across live production workflows.
If you would like to own the Odyssey Ark yourself, you can, but you have to be prepared to spend somewhere around $1,800 and $2,700, depending on available discounts.
Samsung USA recently launched a deal for the Odyssey Ark allowing prospective buyers to easily save up to $950.
