Samsung has almost completed the rollout of the One UI 8.0 update for Galaxy devices. And currently, it is focusing on the development of the One UI 8.5 update. While One UI 8.0 introduced slight UI changes and new features, it also seems to have introduced new issues on some phones. The device in question is the Galaxy A73.

On Reddit, a Galaxy A73 user has reported that when they are on a call and set the volume at a certain level, the phone doesn't retain the volume setting for subsequent voice calls. It wasn't a problem until their phone was running One UI 7.0 (Android 15). And the problem started appearing after stalling the One UI 8.0 update. Now, the device resets the volume to the highest level for each new call, and that could be very irritating for users.

Sometimes, restarting the device can fix many issues. Galaxy A73 users can try doing that to see if it works. If it doesn’t solve the issue, it may be fixed only with a future software update.

We hope that Samsung is reading this and acknowledges the problem. Once it acknowledges the issue, it could fix it with a future software update release. Considering that One UI 8.5 is getting closer and the Galaxy A73 is eligible to get that update, the company may also decide to fix the bug with the One UI 8.5 update, but that would be too late for most users.
