Samsung has started rolling out the One UI 8 (Android 16) update to the Galaxy A26. Vietnam is among the first countries to get it.

So far, Samsung has released the One UI 8.0 (Android 16) rollout schedule for three countries: Brazil, India, and Korea. Among these regions, the brand sells the Galaxy A26 in only the first two countries, and according to the One UI 8 rollout schedule for these regions, the phone will get the new software in October. We expected the company to offer the update to the phone in other regions around the same time. Well, Samsung is running ahead of schedule.
Samsung has released the stable One UI 8 update for the Galaxy A26. Currently, the brand is rolling it out in Vietnam. The update carries firmware version A266BXXU4BYI2.
One UI 8 brings a slightly redesigned user interface as well as new features over One UI 7 (Android 15). You can read about all of them here or check them out in our video below.
We expect Samsung to release the One UI 8 update for the Galaxy A26 in other regions anytime now. To check if the brand has made it available in your region, go to Settings » Software update » Download and install.
