While Samsung fans are waiting for the One UI 5.0 beta program to open, the company has announced the so-called “One UI Value Up Challenge” program designed for select beta testers. The program will debut with the beta version of One UI 5.0, which should open to the public soon.

Interestingly, Samsung confirmed that once live, the One UI Value Up Challenge program won't give participants a time advantage over the standard One UI beta program. Both beta branches will run simultaneously, and it's not entirely clear how they will differ.  (via TizenHelp)

Value Up Challenge program debuting with the next version of One UI

One UI 5.0 beta will be the first version of One UI to be offered through this new Value Up Challenge program. Of note is that the program will open only to select users that have good scores on the Samsung Members and Community platforms.

So, if these select users won't get a head start over regular One UI beta testers, what sort of advantages will they get? We're not sure until Samsung reveals more. But presumably, the company could prioritize feedback from One UI 5.0 Value Up Challenge program participants over standard beta testers.

These select members could contribute more to shaping the final One UI experience, and Samsung could reward participants based on their performance during the testing phase.

Samsung hasn't revealed when the One UI 5.0 public beta stages will start, but community forums for the upcoming beta firmware are already up and waiting for participants to come in and share their experiences.
