A couple of weeks ago, OPPO unveiled the Find N3 Flip, a clamshell foldable smartphone, and it comes as a direct rival to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 5. However, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 doesn’t face a major threat from the Find N3 Flip as the latter is currently available only in China. Unfortunately for Samsung, that’s going to change soon. During the launch event, OPPO stated that it would bring the Find N3 Flip to other regions too, including Europe and India, and now, it has started teasing the Find N3 Flip in the Indian market.

OPPO has listed the Find N3 Flip on the company’s official website for India, which confirms that the brand is going to launch the foldable phone in the country soon. However, OPPO hasn’t said anything about when the launch is going to place. Along with it, the brand is also conducting a lucky draw contest where winners stand a chance to the Find N3 Flip among other products from the company. The contest is live from October 3, 2023, to October 24, 2023. So, expect the Find N3 to launch in India around that time.

Find N3 Flip could be cheaper than Galaxy Z Flip 5 in India

In China, OPPO has priced the Find N3 Flip at CNY 6,799 ($943) for the 12GB + 256GB model and CNY 7,599 ($1,054) for the 12GB + 512GB variant. That means the phone could launch in India between INR 70,000 and INR 80,000. This price tag would make the Find N3 Flip cheaper than the Galaxy Z Flip 5 in the country, which starts at INR 99,999. But that’s just our speculation. It would be interesting to see if people spend more money on the tried and tested Galaxy Z Flip 5 or decide to take a bet on the Find N3 Flip.

    OPPO Find N3 Flip features

The OPPO Find N3 Flip features a 6.8-inch main display that uses AMOLED technology and features Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The cover screen, on the other hand, is a 3.26-inch AMOLED unit with a resolution of 720 x 382 pixels and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. According to the company, the peak brightness of the foldable and outer screens are 1,600 nits and 900 nits respectively.

Beside the outer display, there are three cameras, a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, a 32MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom, and a 48MP ultrawide lens. So, the Find N3 Flip has one extra rear camera compared to the Galaxy Z Flip 5, which is a huge advantage. However, these cameras lack the 4K@60fps video recording offered by the one from Samsung. So, both phones have their advantages when it comes to rear cameras. For selfies, the OPPO Find N3 offers a 32MP camera sensor.

Powering the OPPO Find N3 is the MediaTek Dimensity 9200 SoC, and you can get the phone in two memory configurations: 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB. On the software front, you get Android 13 with ColourOS 13.2.  Connectivity options on the phone include 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth v5.3, dual-frequency GPS, and USB Type-C port. Other features include fingerprint scanner and stereo speakers.

Battery capacity is another area where the Find N3 Flip pulls ahead of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 by offering a 4,400mAh unit (the latter has a 3,700mAh battery pack). It also offers 44W wired charging However, the one from Samsung features 15W wireless charging and 4.5W reverse wireless charging, both of which are not found in the one from OPPO. The Find N3 Flip doesn’t have an IP rating either. So, it is less rugged compared to the Galaxy Z Flip 5, which comes with an IPX8 rating.
