Samsung is once again showing its commitment to the growing gaming scene. The company will be the presenting partner at the upcoming TwitchCon Paris 2023 gaming convention. For the first time, Samsung takes on the role of a TwitchCon partner, and the tech giant has prepared “exceptional gaming experiences” for visitors.

TwitchCon Paris 2023 will kick off on Saturday, July 8, and Twitch expect the event to attract thousands of gamers and influencers. The convention will host Samsung's #PlayGalaxy Lounge, where visitors can experience the latest Samsung products and play mobile games alongside the community and #TeamGalaxy gaming influencers, including rewinside and Gee Nelly.

Mobile and cloud gaming enabled by Galaxy at TwitchCon

Visitors will use the Galaxy S23 Ultra to play mobile games like Brawl Stars, Asphalt 9, and PUBG Mobile. Meanwhile, #TeamGalaxy members will challenge other gamers, play demo matches, and host meet-and-greets for followers.

In addition, Samsung says it will have its own booth at TwitchCon Paris 2023, where the company will show off the power of its Gaming Hub platform through the 85-inch Neo QLED 8K TV and 49-inch Odyssey OLED G9 gaming monitor. These large-screen devices will introduce thousands of gamers to the Gaming Hub cloud-based platform. It needs no introduction for Samsung fans, but many will be surprised by Gaming Hub as a service built into Samsung TVs. The app allows TV users to play AAA games without dedicated gaming hardware save for a controller.

Speaking of Gaming Hub, Samsung recently rebranded the platform with a new logo and said it is working on bringing the cloud-based gaming service to more countries.

The cherry on top of Samsung partnering with TwitchCon Paris 2023 is that the company has prepared a reward for those who complete all the #PlayGalaxy Louge activities. The company hasn't offered any details on this reward in its official announcement, which adds to the excitement. Gamers that will complete all the #PlayGalaxy Lounge activities need only to present their Boarding Pass at each area to be eligible for this reward.

The Galaxy experience can be messy for first-time users

Some say it's always better to have more options, but it's never as clear-cut as it sounds. This design philosophy doesn't always work, and more importantly, it isn't a magical shortcut that can patch everything up and always lead to a better user experience. On the contrary, if not handled properly, I believe the “more […]

Buying a low or mid-range Galaxy phone is getting confusing again

A few years ago, Samsung went on a crusade to abolish the confusopoly it inadvertently created by offering too many choices in the low and mid-range Galaxy phone market segments. The company disposed of the Galaxy J series and simplified things. It focused solely on a few Galaxy A models, and in markets such as […]
