Samsung has announced the introduction of a new accessibility feature to its TVs and monitors launched in 2023. The ‘SeeColors Mode' will allow color-blind users to set the color settings as per their CVD (Color Vision Deficiency). This will make their content-viewing experience more enjoyable.

Moreover, the SeeColors Mode on the Samsung 2023 TV and monitor lineup has received ‘Color Vision Accessibility' certification from TUV Rheinland. This adds credibility to Samsung's commitment to accessibility under the vision of “Screens Everywhere, Screens for All.” Users can choose among the nine picture presets in the SeeColors Mode, providing them the option to view content as per their needs. The features add red, green, and blue levels to ensure that color-blind users can easily distinguish colors.

Software update will add SeeColors Mode to Samsung monitors and TVs launched in 2023

The SeeColors Mode was officially introduced as an application back in 2017. Now that it has been integrated with Samsung monitors and TVs, it is more readily available to users. Users who purchased Samsung TVs and monitors in 2023 will receive a software update. The update will add this new feature to the accessibility menu.

Seokwoo Jason Yong, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics, said, “We are thrilled to introduce additional accessibility features, including SeeColors and Relumino mode, in our 2023 TV and monitor lineup to assist individuals with color blindness and low vision.

The Galaxy experience can be messy for first-time users

Some say it's always better to have more options, but it's never as clear-cut as it sounds. This design philosophy doesn't always work, and more importantly, it isn't a magical shortcut that can patch everything up and always lead to a better user experience. On the contrary, if not handled properly, I believe the “more […]
