When it announced the Galaxy Book 3 laptop series earlier this year, Samsung barely talked about the base model. But it exists. It doesn't have a 360-degree hinge or the “Pro” or “Ultra” designation, but today, Samsung emphasized that the laptop shares the premium slim metal design of the Galaxy Book 3 Pro. It comes in two color options: graphite and silver.
The Galaxy Book 3 weighs 1.57kg and has a thin 15.4mm profile; therefore, it is highly portable. It has a 15-inch display backed by an Intel Arc A350M graphics chip. This is the base model, so there's no NVIDIA RTX GPU option. Conversely, the Galaxy Book 3 is also available at a more reasonable price of 1.09 million won ($813).
Aside from the new laptop, Samsung also announced one new All-in-One (AiO) PC and two desktop units. Starting with the AiO device, Samsung says it has a 24-inch display with built-in speakers that support Dolby Atmos 3D.
Even though this is an All-in-One PC, Samsung offers a bit of upgradability through a detachable “upgrade door” located on the back of the device. Through it, users can upgrade the AiO's memory.
Samsung also says to have redesigned the new AiO with slimmer bezels and rearranged ports for improved usability. The AiO is available in Korea in one color option, white, for 1.21 million won ($902).
And finally, Samsung is releasing two new desktop PCs for prospective buyers who require a bit more graphical processing power from their computers. These desktops have dedicated NVIDIA graphics rather than Intel GPUs, which means they will ensure better performance, especially in games.
The desktop units come in two sizes. There's a regular tower type available in black, starting at 1.16 million won ($865). And there's the slim type, available in black or white, starting at 760,000 won ($567). They should be more configurable than the Galaxy Book 3 laptop and AiO, and prices can vary more widely depending on the hardware configuration.
