As great a tool as the internet is, the world wide web can be a dangerous place where unsuspecting users could get tricked into giving away their personal information or be led to malware-infested websites. And that's not even the worst of it. But some organizations aim to make the internet a better, safer place. UK's Internet Matters is among them, and Samsung announced that it is joining the organization again for the yearly Safer Internet Day celebration.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of Safer Internet Day, and Samsung UK, alongside Internet Matters, has invited young people to join the panel of a webinar today. Ghislaine Bombusa from Internet Matters and Maristelle Pearce from Eikon will host the webinar. They will share their experiences online and empower parents and carers alike to guide young people along their online journeys through practical tools and active conversations.

The hosts have also prepared an interactive quiz-based tool for participants called The Online Together Project, which comprises multiple phases. The first is tackling gender stereotypes. A new module focussing on online hate is coming soon.

Samsung UK has been a partner of Internet Matters since 2017. The company says it “continues to be motivated to keep young people safe online and ensure that families have the knowledge and tools they need to navigate the internet safely.”
