Samsung releases three functional watchfaces for the Gear S3

This year's spring season is finally upon us, and Samsung has released three new functional watchfaces for the Gear S3 – Travel, Outdoor, and Sports – to celebrate it. These watchfaces are aimed to streamline a user's outdoor activities such as travel, training, trekking, and more. If you're someone who travels a lot or loves outdoor activities, these watchfaces are for you.

The Travel watchface for the Gear S3 is aimed at tourists and business travelers. It shows two time zones as well as temperature information, the local currency rate, and a shortcut to a map that showcases distance traveled. Apart from time, the Outdoor watchface shows a lot of information, including altimeter, battery level, barometer, light level, sunrise and sunset times, and weather.

The Sports watchface from Samsung displays an altimeter, heart-rate monitor, route information, speedometer, and stopwatch. It is available in six color themes, while the other two watchfaces feature four color themes each. They also have single-tap and double-tap actions. Samsung has also released videos to showcase these new watchfaces for the Gear S3.
