Android 5.1.1 for Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 available now

Samsung hasn’t been quick to release the Android 5.1.1 update for some of its tablets, the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 is one of those tablets, but today said firmware is finally available for download. Recently T-Mobile released the same update for its variant of the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 (SM-P607T) and today it has arrived for Wi-Fi only model (SM-P600).

I am sorry I ever met Samsung. Next tablet will be back to boring old functional Windows. Done with Android forever. 🙁

You can flash this manually on the US version of the SM-P600 with no problem, I just did it to mine. Or you can wait till December for the US rollout.

there are two files in the download to update to 5.1.1. one is a p600….tar.md5 and the other is SS_DL.dll which do I add to odin in the PDA section and what do I do with the other file?

just as a correction for the article, this is not the same firmware release as the tmobile version. the tmobile version is 5.0.1, this is 5.1.1.

has anybody figured out how to root 5.1.1 on the p600? i’ve tried the cf-autoroot method described on xda but it sends me into a bootloop and i have to reinstall the 5.1.1 via download mode. i’d really like to begin my bloatware removal process.

About time, I’ve been waiting ages for this update.
Samsung should’ve launched this update way sooner for a device like this in my opinion.

We get that f***ing update for SM-G900F !!!??? I’m tired to wait so long time.That’s an important flagship from Samsung and the developers don’t give a s**t for that phone and software updates.

Yeah I manually upgraded my Note 10.1 2014 Edition to lollipop with Odin… I want to Root it but all the methods I tried like Autoroot with Odin, kingroot, kingoroot do not work… Can anyone please help me?!?!

if you figure out how to root please let me know. i tried the cf autoroot method and it throws me into bootloop. all i can do is just reinstall and wait for new exploit i guess.
