    Samsung is looking to set up a $100 million manufacturing facility in India

    After expanding its existing manufacturing plants in India, Samsung is looking forward to set up an additional manufacturing facility in the country. The forthcoming setup is expected to be built in the city of Hyderabad, which is one of the biggest IT hubs in the country.

    Mr. K. Chandrasekhar Rao, Chief Minister of Telangana state, where the city is situated, announced this during the inauguration of extended facility of Mahindra and Mahindra's automotive plant. State Ministers for industry and information technology are scheduled to meet a delegation from Samsung today.

    The state government will shortly launch a program under which interested investors would be able to get all the approvals and clearances within two weeks of making an application. Mr. Rao said “Hyderabad has a very large scope for electronic hardware industry. It will be a real single window with a chasing cell in my office. The hassle-free and corruption-free environment will boost industrialization and attract investment.” He also ensured round the clock quality power supply for industries.
