Galaxy S7 is smashing pre-order records

Samsung appears to have a winner on its hands with the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 edge. The new flagships are a great evolutionary upgrade to the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 edge and fans greatly appreciate the return of features like water resistance and the microSD slot both of which were missing last year. Consumer interest appears to be high for the new flagship smartphones.

Pre-orders for the Galaxy S7 are smashing records previously established by Samsung’s flagship lineup. According to a report out of Russia, this is more or less the case in all 60 launch markets and that includes Russia. 64 percent of pre-orders placed in Russia have been for the Galaxy S7 edge and remaining for the Galaxy S7, this isn’t surprising since the Galaxy S6 edge proved to be more popular than its non-curved counterpart last year and was the winner in our recent poll as well.

Pre-orders for the new flagships went live on February 23 and Samsung has declared March 11 as the official launch date. If you’re on T-Mobile in the United States there’s a very good chance that your pre-order will arrive before everybody else gets their hands on the new handsets.

I don’t think it is going to do well in the long run. Only 32 GB option after giving people the option to go 64GB/128GB as base storage last year is a downgrade even with SD card because you cannot store lots of apps. RAM management still seems to be an issue. Then you got the usual slow as snails software updates and the bloatware. You want smashing records, look no further than iphone 7.

The wonders of what a simple MicroSD slot could achieve.

Samsung should also offer a warning that using a cheap knockoff SD can hamper the performance of the UFS of S7

Been using only high quality / high speed cards from SanDisk and Samsung.

The S8 Edge will become boring as there so much you can do before it gets boring and run out of ideas.

There should only be a S8 in 2017.

But Sammy must also offer an option for some users to have a big/small screen option(e.g. 5.5 inch, 6.0 inch(my favourite size) and 5.0 inch) with a big battery

another record-breaking pre-order? that’s what they said last year during SGS6′s pre-order period lmao.
turned out its sale number was a disaster. well, the same could be said on the first week of SGS7 launch. lets see if i am wrong.

Actually, Samsung said orders of the S6 edge were much higher than expected. However, their failure to have supply keep up with demand ended up limiting sales.

gotta agree on that, however, in the long run, Samsung still failed to sell as many as they expected from the S6 series.
but somehow, i have some faith that S7 will be doing much better than the S6′s

All were already present in the S5. Except the camera … so not really convinced. Not to note: MHL Output, Removable Battery, and others …

Watercooling heatpipes, Vulkan API graphics, Marshmallow doze mode, DSLR camera, f1.7 front cam, always on display, 4GB RAM, IP68 instead of S5 IP67, fast wireless charging
