Your phone stores a lot of temporary files in the cache. This is done to speed up repetitive tasks. Sometimes, these temporary files can cause an issue with apps or can even cause excessive battery drain.
Wiping the cache partition is a great way of troubleshooting these problems. Do note that none of your personal files or settings are deleted during the cache partition wipe.
Step 1: Connect your Galaxy S21 series phone to a PC using the original USB-C cable.
Step 2: Power off the device using the side key or the power icon in Quick Toggles.
Step 3: Press and hold the volume up and side key. Release them when the Samsung Galaxy logo appears on the screen.
Step 4: Use the volume down key to highlight the “Wipe cache partition” option. Press the side key to select it.
Our handy video guide highlights all of the steps that you need to follow to wipe cache partition on a Galaxy S21 series phone.
