Apart from an advertisement-free experience, YouTube Premium now brings higher quality 1080p streaming when watching videos on Android devices and smart TVs. It offers higher-quality videos at the same 1080p resolution with less video compression. This feature has been available for Android smartphones and tablets over the past few weeks, but it was first launched for iPhones.
Premium subscribers can also continue to watch videos they left on one device when they pick up another device. For example, if you stop watching a video on your phone and start YouTube on your TV, you can continue watching the same video, as YouTube will display that same video with the ‘Continue Watching' label.
YouTube will also grant long-time premium subscribers with virtual badges. The collection of all your badges can act as a virtual trophy cabinet that highlights your Premium milestones. Google is also bringing AI-generated content to YouTube. You can ask Conversation AI to suggest more videos like the one you're watching or anything else about what you're searching for. You can also ask questions about the video to this AI chatbot. This feature is only limited to a few people who have an Android device and live in the US.
You can also ask this AI to summarize long comments into snackable text with a clear theme. Creators can use it to get ideas for their next videos, while viewers can use it to catch up with reactions from people who watched the video live.
