Samsung has released a new software update to the Galaxy Tab S8. It brings the much-awaited One UI 8.0 (Android 16), which offers a new user interface, as well as many new features.
Unfortunately, Samsung is currently offering it only in its home country, South Korea. That being said, we expect the brand to release the update in other regions in the next few days.
As you can see in the screenshot below, the update carries firmware version XB00XXU9EYJ4 and is 3,531.39MB in size (via Tarun Vats). Along with the new version of Android and One UI, the update also offers the September 2025 security patch, which fixes many security vulnerabilities.
To get the update, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. In our video below, you can watch all the upgrades the new software offers. Speaking of which, the Galaxy Tab S8 is also eligible to get Samsung’s next OS customisation for Galaxy devices, One UI 8.5.
