Samsung has started selling two new soundbars, the HW-Q990H and the HW-Q800H, in the US. Both models were unveiled at CES 2026. Another soundbar, the HW-QS90H, which was also showcased earlier this year at CES, will be available soon. All these soundbars feature Dolby Atmos and Samsung’s Eclipsa Audio technology.
The HW-Q990H is priced at $1,999.99, while the HW-Q800H costs a more digestible $1,099.99. The HW-QS90H will be available soon for $999.99.
The company also launched two new wireless speakers: Music Studio 5 and Music Studio 7.

The HW-Q990H is Samsung’s flagship soundbar for 2026. It features an 11.1.4-channel speaker setup, including two separate rear speakers (left and right). It supports Dolby Atmos in both wired and wireless modes, along with Eclipsa Audio for spatial sound. The updated Q-Symphony system allows you to connect up to five additional compatible speakers for improved audio output.
Along with features such as Active Voice Amplifier Pro, Adaptive Sound, AI Dynamic Bass Control, SpaceFit Sound Pro, and Voice Enhance Mode, the HW-Q990H introduces two new features: Auto Volume and Sound Elevation. Auto Volume maintains consistent sound levels to prevent sudden spikes or drops, while Sound Elevation makes dialogue appear to come from the position of characters on screen rather than from the soundbar itself.

The HW-Q800H features a 5.1.2-channel speaker setup and does not include rear speakers. However, it still offers most of the key features found on higher-end models, including Active Voice Amplifier Pro, Adaptive Sound, Q-Symphony, Sound Elevation, and SpaceFit Sound Pro.
The HW-QS90H is an all-in-one soundbar, meaning it does not include a separate subwoofer. All drivers required for its 7.1.2-channel setup, including two woofers, are built into the soundbar.
It also features a built-in gyro sensor that automatically adjusts audio based on whether the unit is mounted facing down or forward. This is similar to the HW-QS700F soundbar launched last year. It includes most of the features found on the flagship HW-Q990H.
Samsung says the HW-Q930H, which sits just below the flagship model, will be priced at $1,500. It features a 9.1.4-channel setup with two separate rear speakers and includes most of the features available on the HW-Q990H, such as Active Voice Amplifier Pro, Adaptive Sound, Q-Symphony, Sound Elevation, and SpaceFit Sound Pro.

All these new soundbars offer a wide range of connectivity options, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, AirPlay 2, Google Cast, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, and Roon Ready support. They feature HDMI ports with HDMI CEC and eARC, supporting up to 4K 120Hz HDR10+ passthrough, along with an optical audio input.
They also support Dolby 5.1, Dolby Digital Plus, and Dolby TrueHD audio formats. Built-in Alexa and Bixby are included, and the soundbars can also be controlled using Google Home.
Additionally, all models are compatible with SmartThings, allowing users to control and customize settings through Samsung’s SmartThings app. The HW-Q990H also includes a built-in SmartThings Hub, enabling it to act as a central controller for Matter, SmartThings, and Zigbee-based smart home devices.
