At IFA 2025, Samsung has launched the Sound Tower ST50F and the Sound Tower ST40F. These are portable, battery-powered Bluetooth speakers, which are also known as party speakers.
The new models come as successors to the Sound Tower ST50B and the Sound Tower ST40B from 2022. Let us take a look at the features, pricing, and availability of the new speakers.
The Sound Tower ST50F features two 6.5-inch woofers and two 25mm dome tweeters offering 240W audio output. Whereas, the Sound Tower ST40F packs two 5.25-inch woofers and two 20mm dome tweeters offering 160W audio output. They offer four sound modes: Stadium, Standard, Outdoor, and Wide.
Both models have a user-replaceable battery. While the larger variant of the two offers up to 18 hours of continuous audio listening experience, the smaller version offers up to12 hours of battery life. They are water resistant and come with IPX4 rating. You can fine tune these speakers with the Samsung Sound Tower app.
The ST50F has a telescopic handle and wheels for easy portability, whereas, the ST40F has an integrated handle. Both the models have Party Lights +, an LED light system with five lighting zones:
These lighting zones can be customised using the Samsung Sound Tower app. There are five dynamic lighting modes: Wave, Trail, Spark, Breeze, Flow and Flare.
Samsung says that the Sound Tower ST50F and the Sound Tower ST40F are now available globally. However, we weren’t able to find them anywhere. The brand has also not announced the prices of the two speakers yet. For your reference, the ST40B costs $199 and the ST50B costs $279 in the USA.
