Since the beginning of this year, Samsung has raised the prices of its smartphones in India three times — first in January, then in February, and again in March. Unfortunately, the brand is continuing the trend this month as well. The company has now increased the prices of nine smartphones in India, marking the fourth price hike since the year began and the fourth consecutive monthly increase.
On X, Abhishek Yadav has shared an image of what looks like Samsung India’s communication to its retailers in the country about increasing the prices of all or some variants of the Galaxy F06, Galaxy F07, Galaxy F36, Galaxy F70E, Galaxy M06, Galaxy M07, Galaxy M17, Galaxy M17E, and Galaxy M36 from April 8, 2026 (today). As you can see, the price hike ranges from INR 500 to INR 2,000, which will make it harder for people to buy them. It could also result in some of them delaying or cancelling their purchases, which may affect the brand's revenue and profits. However, the company has reported massive profits in Q1 2026.
Samsung hasn't said why it is increasing the prices of these phones, but it could be due to rising memory prices. On one hand, the company has hiked the prices of these phones, and on the other, it is planning to introduce discount offers on the Galaxy A37 and the Galaxy A57, mostly due to their price outrage.
