Last month, Samsung unveiled the brand’s first phone with a tri-folding display. However, the company didn’t reveal many details about the device. Expected to arrive as the Galaxy Z TriFold, information about the sizes of its displays, battery capacity, and thickness is already out. Now, we have details about more aspects of the phone.
On X, a popular tipster, Evan Blass, has shared key specifications of the Galaxy Z TriFold. According to them, the phone has a 6.5-inch cover display with a peak brightness of 2,600 nits and a 10-inch inner screen with a peak brightness of 1,600 nits. The tipster says that the Galaxy Z TriFold’s main camera has a 200MP resolution.
Reportedly, all three sections of the device have various thicknesses: 3.9mm, 4mm, and 4.2mm. That adds up to 12.1mm. That, the space between sections when folded, and the hinge may make the device 14mm thick, as previous reports have claimed. The tipster says that the battery has a rated capacity of 5,437mAh. Samsung may market it as a 5,600mAh battery, as we recently learned.
Lastly, Evan says that the Galaxy Z TriFold will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset. Needless to say, it will be a high-end, flagship SoC. However, there’s no information on whether it will be the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy that's in the Galaxy Z Fold 7, or the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. A recent leak about the device revealed that Samsung will launch the phone on 5 December 2025.
