Both phones are powered by a 5,000 mAh battery, so there’s no upgrade in capacity. However, charging times are considerably shorter. According to Samsung, the A56 and A36 can charge to 100% in 68 minutes, while half an hour of charging will charge them to 65% and 66% respectively.
Battery life is also slightly better, likely thanks to the upgraded chipsets that power these phones. The A56 and A36 can be used for video playback of up to 29 hours on a single charge, or an hour or so higher than their predecessors. Music playback time is rated at 88 hours for the A56 and 84 hours for the A36.
Unsurprisingly, you won’t get a charger in the box with either phone. You will need to buy Samsung’s official 45W charging brick or a compatible third-party charger. Chargers will come with their own cable, but the cable you get bundled with the A56 and A36 should support the maximum charging speed as well.
