The MoU was signed following a meeting of Samsung Display EVP Hojung Lee with Intel's VP of Client Computing Group David Feng at Samsung Display Research in Giheung, South Korea. The two companies will collaborate in the development and joint marketing of these new technologies.
Samsung Display will work with Intel to create new display solutions for Intel's processor chips that deliver enhanced AI features. These display solutions will be developed for devices including premium laptops, high-performance IT equipment, and AI PCs.
This collaborative effort may also see Intel's SoCs being applied to Samsung's IT OLED panels to deliver better picture quality with low power use. The two companies will jointly market their wares at domestic and international exhibitions.
The MoU was announced in the backdrop of Samsung Display participating in the AI Media Art Exhibition held by Intel and Samsung Electronics. The exhibition, based on the theme of ‘Humans with AI,' is taking place at the Gwanghwamun Kyobo Bookstore Art Space from February 21 to March 31.
