Last month, Samsung revealed that the brand will launch its first smartphone with a three-part dual-folding display (more widely known as a tri-folding screen) by the end of this year. According to multiple reports about it, the company will make it available for purchase only in China and South Korea. That’s because the tech giant will produce it in limited quantities, which may suffice only for those two regions. Well, a new report about it says Samsung is considering launching the Galaxy Z TriFold in the US as well.
According to CNN Business, Samsung is still evaluating in which countries the brand should launch the first Galaxy phone with a tri-folding display, and the US is among the contenders. If the US makes it to the list, the Galaxy Z TriFold will be the first tri-folding phone in the country, as the only other brand offering a tri-folding phone, Huawei, is banned in the region. Being the only one in the segment, Galaxy Z TriFold could have a high demand for a long time, as no other tri-folding phone is coming to the US in the near future.
Leaks and rumours about Samsung’s upcoming tri-folding phone claim that it will feature a 9.96-inch tri-folding display and a 6.49-inch cover display, wireless charging, reverse wireless charging, and NFC payments. Recently, we also got to see the phone’s multitasking capabilities.
As we get closer to the phone’s launch, leaks about its processor, cameras, battery capacity, and other details should hit the internet.
