Samsung announced the One UI 8 Watch Beta Program a couple of weeks ago, but it hasn't started yet. However, it appears that the company might be close to releasing the first beta update for compatible Galaxy Watches, as related health features have started appearing the Samsung Health app.
One UI 8 Watch will bring four new health features: Antioxidant Levels, Bedtime Guidance, Running Coach, and Vascular Load. All these features have started showing up in the latest stable version (6.30.2.027) of the Samsung Health app on Android phones and tablets.
We can see those features on our Galaxy S23 Ultra running the stable version of One UI 7.0.
Tapping on all those features in the Samsung Health app explains how they work and how they can help users in improving their overall health and fitness. You can also see which Galaxy Watches they are compatible with.
For example, the Vascular Load feature only works on the upcoming Galaxy Watch 8 (or higher) models, while Running Coach requires you to have the Galaxy Watch 7 or the Galaxy Watch Ultra to perform the running test.
Samsung said it will release the One UI 8 Watch beta update in June 2025, and we are just four days away from the end of that month. So, if the company stays true to its promise, the update should arrive by June 30. The beta update will only be available in South Korea and the USA, at least in the first phase.
