Samsung released the stable One UI 8 Watch update to the Galaxy Watch Ultra last month, but other Galaxy Watches will not get the update as soon as you expected. The company has just opened the One UI 8 Watch Beta Program for the Galaxy Watch 6 series.

Galaxy Watch 6 series gets One UI 8 Watch beta update

The Oen UI 8 Watch Beta Program is now open for the Galaxy Watch 6 and the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic in South Korea. Currently, it is available for Bluetooth versions of the smartwatches in the country. It brings Wear OS 6 and dozens of other new and improved features.

If you want to beta-test One UI 8 Watch on your Galaxy Watch 6 series device, you have to install the latest version of the Samsung Members app, log into it using the same Samsung Account that is being used on your Galaxy Watch 6, and find the One UI 8 Watch Beta Program notice in the app. Once you enrol your device into the program, you can install the beta update.

To install the update, open the Galaxy Wearable app and navigate to Watch settings » Watch software update and tap Download and install. Since it is a beta software, it will be buggy and can have several performance issues.

This update brings several new features, including the Now Bar, new watch faces, a new app launcher design with more options, more finger pinch gestures, a new charging animation, the ability to add multiple widgets in tiles, Bedtime Guidance, more mindfulness features, watch faces recommendations, and more.
