A few days ago, Samsung released the April 2026 security patch for the Galaxy S25 series. However, the brand offered it only to three core devices in the lineup, the base, Plus, and Ultra, and not to the Edge and Fan Edition models. That’s finally changing.
Samsung has released the April 2026 security patch for the Galaxy S25 Edge and the Galaxy S25 FE in Korea. The updates for these phones, bringing the latest security patch, carry firmware versions S731NKSS6AZCH and S937NKSS7BZCH, respectively.
The April 2026 security patch brings fixes for 47 security issues present in the previous version of the OS, making the Galaxy S25 Edge and the Galaxy S25 FE more secure than before. To get it, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
Samsung should release the April 2026 security patch to the Galaxy S25 Edge and the Galaxy S25 FE in other countries in the next few days. The two phones will also get One UI 8.5 (Android 16 QPR2), which brings many upgrades, very soon.
