Samsung has just announced the expansion of the One UI 8 Beta Program. The beta update, first announced in May, was initially released for the Galaxy S25 series (excluding the Galaxy S25 Edge). Next week, it will be released to more Galaxy S and Galaxy Z series phones.
The South Korean firm has announced that it will open the One UI 8 Beta Program for the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Flip 6, and the Galaxy Z Fold 6 next week. A few weeks later, the beta update will be released to the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Flip 5, and the Galaxy Z Fold 5. All the high-end Samsung devices that will get the One UI 8 beta update are listed below.
Samsung did not mention the Galaxy S23 FE and the Galaxy S24 FE in its announcement. And that is a disappointment for those who purchased Fan Edition phones.
The beta update will be released in India, South Korea, the UK, and the USA. If you are interested in beta-testing the software on your eligible device, you need to download the Samsung Members app, log into the app using your Samsung Account being used on the eligible phone, and register your device in the beta program by tapping the related banner on the app's home page.
Once your device is enrolled into the One UI 8 Beta Program and the beta update is available, you can navigate to Settings » Software update and tap Download and install. Once the downloading process is finished, tap the Install now button, and the phone will initiate the installation process and will restart after a few minutes.
The Android 16-based One UI 8 update brings several new and improved features, including improved Quick Share, new lock screen clock customizations, enhanced split-screen view, better Samsung DeX, better calendar and reminders management, more actions and conditions in Modes And Routines, and enhanced Secure Folder, among other things.
The stable update will be released in September 2025. You can read the complete list of One UI 8 features by clicking here.
