Samsung confirmed last month it had discontinued the Galaxy Z TriFold and that it will no longer be sold in South Korea and the very select few markets where it had been made available.
The United States was among those few markets that got Samsung's first tri-fold phone. If you couldn't buy one before, April 10 might be your last chance to pick one up.
Samsung has just confirmed that the $2,899 Galaxy Z TriFold will be back in stock in the United States this Friday, April 10. The company doesn't say if it's back in stock for good or if it's just a last hurrah, though smart money's probably on the latter.
Those who are interested in buying one will be able to get their hands on the Galaxy Z TriFold on Samsung.com as well as the following Samsung Experience Stores:
Since its launch, the Galaxy Z TriFold has only been offered in very limited quantities. Restocks sold out within minutes, and customers were left to wait for several weeks before the next drop. The Galaxy Z TriFold had been out of stock in the United States for a few weeks, so it's not surprising that a new drop is coming on April 10.
What would be surprising, though, if the handset continues to be sold once the latest drop is sold out. Given that Samsung never intended for the Galaxy Z TriFold to be a mass-market device, this might very well be your last chance to buy a Galaxy Z TriFold in the US.
