As promised, Samsung has opened the One UI 8.5 (Android 16 QPR2) beta program for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5. It allows the users of these phones to try the brand’s latest Android customisation for Galaxy smartphones before the company releases its stable version to everyone.
At the moment, Samsung has made it live in its home country, South Korea (via Tarun Vats). The brand will make it available in India, the UK, and the US soon.
To get it, open the Samsung Members app, search for the banner for the new software's beta program for your device, tap on it, enrol your device in it, go to Settings > Software Update > Download and install, and if you see the update, tap on Install now.
Compared to One UI 8.0, One UI 8.5 offers a redesigned user interface that looks cleaner, more sophisticated, and more consistent throughout, and it is more customisable as well. Along with that, the new software brings many new features that make the phone more useful for you and more fun to use. In our video below, we have demonstrated the key upgrades it offers.
