A few days ago, the stable One UI 7.0 update was released for the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and the Galaxy Z Fold 6. However, it was limited to the South Korean market. Today, the update has reached the two foldable phones in the USA. European versions of the phones got the update yesterday.
The stable One UI 7.0 update, based on Android 15, is now rolling out to the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and the Galaxy Z Fold 6 in the USA. It is currently available for both carrier-locked and factory-unlocked models and for One UI 7.0 beta testers and non-testers. It might come to users earlier than others. It brings the April 2025 security patch as well.
The new update is around 400MB-500MB in size for users who are beta-testing One UI 7.0. For all other users, the update has a download size of around 5GB.
If you have a Galaxy Z Flip 6 or the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and live in the USA, you can download the new software by heading to Settings » Software update » Download and install. Watch our videos below to know what new features and improvements the new software update brings to the foldable phones.
These phones will likely get the update in other countries and markets within the next few days. They were launched in 2024 with Android 14 onboard and a promise of seven major Android OS updates. One UI 7 is the first of those seven updates, and they will get six such updates (up to Android 21) in the future.
