Samsung has been very precise in the upgrades that it has introduced for the Galaxy S25 FE that was just unveiled during the company's virtual unpacked event today.
Not only has the company upgraded the battery capacity, it's also increased the wired charging speed, bringing it on par with some of the best Samsung phones on the market right now.
The Galaxy S24 FE had a 4,700mAh battery with support for 25W wired fast charging last year. Samsung has upgraded them both, with the Galaxy S25 FE boasting a 4,900mAh battery and support for 45W wired fast charging.
Based on the company's estimates, you should be able to get an up to 65% charge on the device in around 30 minutes when using the 45W adapter. Samsung doesn't ship any adapter in the box so you'll need to purchase one separately.
It joins the other two models in the Galaxy S25 family that support 45W fast charging – the Galaxy S25+ and the Galaxy S25 Ultra. The base Galaxy S25 and the Galaxy S25 Edge only support 25W fast charging.
This is going to convince a lot of customers who would otherwise be on the fence about buying this device to go ahead and open up their wallets. Samsung remains conservative with its charging speeds as it's yet to push beyond 45W in any meaningful way.
At least the Galaxy S25 FE brings customers to the upper echelon of what's on offer from Samsung. Orders for the Galaxy S25 FE are open starting today with prices from 749 euro and 649 GBP.
