Owners of Galaxy S24 series phones outside Korea can now jump in on the action and grab the latest security update. The November 2025 security update debuted for the Galaxy S24 lineup in Korea a week ago, and it is now expanding to the US and Europe. Soon, it should also start rolling out in other regions.
Users in the USA can identify the update by the firmware version ending in CYK2. The same goes for European users. It is a little over 450 MB in size, and you can download it by opening the Settings > Software update menu on your phone and tapping Download and install.
The latest update for the Galaxy S24 series only brings with it a new security patch. The November 2025 patch fixes around three dozen vulnerabilities affecting Android and Samsung's One UI. The Exynos 2400 that powers the non-Ultra models in most markets has also received security fixes.
This is the first update for the Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra after they were upgraded to One UI 8.0 (Android 16) and will be followed by many more security updates until Samsung is ready to release One UI 8.5. The next version of One UI will debut on the Galaxy S26 series in 2026.
