Earlier this month, Samsung released the first beta version of Android 15-based One UI 7.0 to the Galaxy A55. Now, the brand is rolling out the second beta version to the phone in India. It carries firmware version A556EXXU7ZYD3.
According to the changelog, it fixes three issues, offers many improvements, and brings the April 2025 security patch, which you can check out in the screenshot below (via Tarun Vats). The latest update is 336.14MB in size.
Let's discuss the three issues the new firmware fixes. First, according to Samsung, Google Sports in the Now Bar had poor visibility, which is no longer a problem. Second, now when the phone sends a push notification about eSIM, it shows a SIM card icon. Sadly, the third issue that Samsung has stated isn't clear. It says, “Fix an issue that cannot be attached to MMS emoticon on a particular route.“
Samsung had released six beta updates to the Galaxy S24 series before offering the stable version of the OS. Hopefully, that won't be the case with the Galaxy A55, and the brand will offer the stable update to the phone sooner. It is worth mentioning that the company has paused the roll out of the stable version of One UI 7 to all the devices as the brand has come across and issue.
