Samsung’s One UI 8.0 (Android 16) rollout schedule for Brazil says that the brand will release the update to the Galaxy A25 in the week of 6 October 2025. We expected the company to offer the update in other regions around the same time. Well, we were right.
Samsung has released the One UI 8 stable update to the Galaxy A25. Europe is among the first regions to get it. The update carries firmware version A256BXXU8DYI8 (via @Koram_Akhilesh). To get it, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
One UI 8 brings many upgrades over One UI 7. First, you get a slightly redesigned Quick Panel, which looks more polished than before. Second, the Now Bar can show information about stocks (with help from Google Finance). Third, it brings a completely revamped DeX, which you can check out here. Fourth, Now Brief now offers more card types, including those for parking spots and YouTube, and can read the summary aloud. Fifth, Galaxy AI’s Drawing Assist now offers more styles.
Sixth, the Calendar app now lets you switch between events and reminders. Seventh, the My Files app now offers a more streamlined user interface. Eighth, the Reminder app now offers more categories, an option to minimise custom categories, and other new options. Ninth, the Quick Share app now opens up as a full-screen app and offers separate Send and Receive tabs. Tenth, the Weather app now shows new animations that are more immersive. You can check them out below.
