It's been known for a while now that Samsung is going to launch the Galaxy A17 5G in one of its most important markets, India, in the near future.
New information has surfaced that suggests this device might be launched in the country before the end of this month, adding another competitively priced offering to its lineup.
Samsung India has started hyping up the launch of a new Galaxy A series phone in the country. It's sharing a pre-registration link online, allowing customers to sign up for more information on when the device becomes available.
Clues taken from the registration landing page reveal that the device may be set to launch on August 29. This would follow the Galaxy A17 5G's recent launch in Taiwan. Since the device is already out, there's no mystery as to what it has under the hood.
The Galaxy A17 5G has a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with an Exynos 1330 chipset. It's available in 6/8GB RAM with 128GB of storage. The device ships with One UI 7.0 and Android 15. It has a 5,000mAh battery with 25W charging.
An earlier report revealed that Samsung will ship a 25W charging brick with the device, which is a welcome sign, as charging bricks have been a rarity and must be purchased separately, even on the company's most expensive devices.
As for pricing, a recent rumor claimed that prices for the Galaxy A17 5G will start at INR 18,999 (~$217) in the country.
