Over the past few days, Samsung started rolling out the One UI 8.0 update to its entry-level phones. The newest affordable Galaxy phone to get the update is the Galaxy A06, a phone that was launched last year. Earlier today, the Galaxy A07 also received the update, while the Galaxy F15 received it two days ago.
One UI 8.0 is the last major software update for the Galaxy A06.
Samsung has released the Android 16-based One UI 8.0 update for the Galaxy A06. The new update is now available in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and the Philippines. It comes bearing firmware version A065FXXU7CYJ8 and has a download size of around 2.3GB. Other countries will get the update soon.
The update also includes the September 2025 security patch to make the phone more secure than earlier, but it is disappointing that Samsung didn't include the October 2025 security patch with the update.
If you have the Galaxy A06 and live in any of the countries mentioned above, you should check for the update right now. You can do that by navigating to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Then, once the update is downloaded completely, tap the Install now button to start the installation procedure. The phone will restart after a few minutes.
One UI 8.0 is based on Android 16 and brings several new and improved features to the Galaxy A06. It includes the newly designed Quick Share screen that has a full-screen design, featuring two separate tabs: Send and Receive. The Weather app has gained new visuals, featuring a character that responds to current weather conditions.
Calendar, Clock, and Reminder apps have received improved bulk item management features for calendar entries, alarms, and reminders. Modes and Routines now have more actions and conditions. Click here to read the complete One UI 8.0 changelog to know more about all its features.
