Samsung’s recent One UI Tizen update for 2023 TVs and newer has introduced several changes and new features. A big one is the addition of Art Mode for Neo QLED and OLED models outside of The Frame lineup.
Not interested in signing up for an Art Mode subscription? Here's some good news: You can still personalize your TV with custom artwork and photos from your own Gallery. All you need is a smartphone and the SmartThings mobile app.
The process is simple, and the first step is to make sure your TV and SmartThings mobile app are running the latest versions. The TV and phone also need to share the same Wi-Fi network.
Once that's done, follow these steps:

The final steps involve customizing how your photos look on the TV screen. You can crop them, choose a mat to frame your image, and adjust the mat color to match your preference.

When you're happy with the results, tap Apply on TV.
You can also go to My Photos and select Display All to cycle through your custom images. They will appear in rotation on your TV.

Author’s note: Shortly after I received the 2025 One UI Tizen update on my 2023 Neo QLED TV, I was unable to set custom artwork due to a connection error (013303).
The issue appeared to resolve itself after about 10 minutes. Loading at least one free image from the Art Store “Stream” category at the top of the page might help clear network issues, but this is unconfirmed.
