Two Samsung Galaxy A series smartphones, Galaxy A56 and Galaxy A37, are getting new software updates. They bring the April 2026 security patch, which fixes 47 security issues present in the previous version of the OS.
At the moment, Samsung seems to be rolling out the April 2026 security patch to the Galaxy A56 and the Galaxy A37 in Europe. You can check out their firmware versions below.
We expect Samsung to release the April 2026 security patch for the Galaxy A56 and the Galaxy A37 in other countries in the next few days. To check if Samsung has made it available in your region, as well as to get it, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
The Galaxy A56 and the Galaxy A37 are eligible to get One UI 8.5 (Android 16 QPR2). Compared to One UI 8.0, it offers a user interface that is cleaner and more sophisticated, as well as more customisable. In addition to that, it also brings many new features, which you can check out below.
