Samsung has announced that the Galaxy Ace 4 will go on sale in the UK from October 17th, the same day the Galaxy Note 4 will also become available for purchase in the country. The fourth-generation Galaxy Ace (not counting the countless Galaxy Ace knock-offs) will be available from Samsung's Experience Stores, and from online and local retailers including EE and O2 over the week starting October 17. “Combining world-class viewing technology with super-fast 4G speeds, the Galaxy Ace 4 provides the ultimate entertainment experience whether you’re browsing the web or watching an HD movie,” said Ines van Gennip, Marketing Director, IT & Mobile Division, Samsung UK & Ireland.

Of course, being a mid-range device, the Galaxy Ace 4 doesn't exactly have world-class viewing technology, but you do get a Super AMOLED display that should offer vivid colors and deep blacks, even if it's of a measly WVGA (800×480) resolution. Other specs of the device include a quad-core 1.2GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, a 5-megapixel rear camera, VGA front-facing camera, 8GB of internal storage, a microSD slot, 4G LTE connectivity, and a 1,900mAh battery. It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat, with the usual helpings of Samsung's TouchWiz UX on top.

Samsung hasn't revealed pricing information, but all those details should make an appearance over the next few days. The Galaxy Ace 4 will be available in Iris Charcoal and Classic White.
