Samsung starts selling 'Re-Newed' Galaxy Z foldable phones

Samsung has started selling certified refurbished Galaxy Z series foldable phones for the first time. Under the company's ‘Certified Re-Newed' program, you can buy the Galaxy Z Flip 5 or the Galaxy Z Fold 5 if you are in the USA. These phones come with one year warranty as well.

Beginning today, you can buy officially refurbished Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 in the USA from Samsung's online store. The Galaxy Z Flip 5 starts at $650 for the 256GB version and $700 for the 512GB version. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 is priced at $1,169 for the 256GB version and $1,219 for the 512GB version.

Phones sold under Samsung's Certified Re-Newed program are serviced by Samsung specialists and have 100% genuine spare parts. They come with a certified new battery, one-year warranty, and an option of buying a Samsung Care+ plan for additional protection.

If you have an existing phone, you can trade it in to get some trade-in discount and reduce the burden on your wallet. This is a great option if you want to try out Samsung's foldable phones but don't want to shell out as much as $1,100 on the Galaxy Z Flip 7 or $2,000 on the Galaxy Z Fold 7.
