Samsung offers an app for Galaxy smartphones and tablets that lets you save login IDs and passwords for accounts on apps and websites, called Samsung Pass. Well, the brand may soon update it with the ability to let you save your personal documents, such as your identity cards.
On X, Galaxy Techie has shared images of an unreleased version of Samsung Pass (version 15.3.01.6), showing that it will allow people to store personal documents, including passports, driving licenses, identity cards, and invoices, as well as their images.
This feature will enable people to securely save information about their ID cards on their phones and access it at any time and from anywhere in case of need.
However, there are bugs in the app that will not let you access any of your saved passwords, as well as prevent the app from syncing with Samsung Cloud.
We assume that Samsung is working on ironing out the issues and will roll out an update to Samsung Pass to add the new features. Unfortunately, we don’t know when.
