We know that the Galaxy Note 5 will be released after the summer, traditionally Samsung has opted for IFA to unveil this high-end handset and it looks like the company is sticking with tradition this time around as well. During a conference call with investors Samsung executive vice president Injong Rhee let the Galaxy Note 5 September launch timeframe slip. Then again, it wasn't surprising at all since Samsung has previously released new Galaxy Note handsets in September.

Rhee was actually talking about Samsung Pay, the company's new payments service which has been delayed from July to September. Initially Samsung Pay is going to be launched in the United States and South Korea before it's expanded to China and Europe. Rhee said that Samsung Pay will first be deployed on the company's next high-end handset and it's clear that he means the Galaxy Note 5, he also added that the company hopes up to 20% of its smartphone owners will use the payments service. IFA 2015 starts off on September 4th, that's when the Galaxy Note 5 is very likely to be unveiled and from the looks of it customers may not have to wait for too long following the announcement to actually go out and buy Samsung's next high-end handset.
