I’m a huge Samsung fan but if they fail to upgrade the P6800 ( 7.7″ 3G ) to ICS, I’ll take my business elsewhere.

Do you really expect anyone at Samsung to even remember the P1000??? This is an antique in the Mobile world (although I had it once and it was a good device)

I didn’t expect samsung to upgrade p1000 to 4.0 and hopefully they won’t forget their very first tablet model. at least please walk the talk.

Well, if you want reliable updates minutes after release, you’ll have to move over o the other brand.
Samsung talk about it for almost a year before actual release.
Samsung thinks that a customer is a customer until buy, then the customer is a user, and users are boring and only interesting as potentially new customer. Samsung, or others android devices, are not supposed to be used more than for 8 to 12 months. Then it’s time to buy a new dev.

Hi,
I know this will sound a little crazy, but is there any way to opt-out of the upgrade?
I want to stay Android 3.2 instead of Android 4.0, because the new version does not support Adobe Flash anymore, and there is no alternative for the things I’m using it for.
Thanks for some good advice.
Ciao

I’m from Sweden and really hate samsung products right now, I called support in Stockholm, Sweden, asked them about “Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 WIFI + 3G 16GB (GT-P7300)”…
Can you answer and call with it if you use 3g SIM-card ?
Yes all Samsung tablets with 3g can make calls and recive too, if you use headset.
Does not work for me anyway !
I then asked about this update to Android 4.0 ICS, yes it is confirmed, should be available in augusti 2012.
I bought my “Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 WIFI + 3G 16GB (GT-P7300)” at augusti 14, 2012.
Today is september 24, 2012, and still no update to Android 4.0 ICS available.
If anyone have any info about making calls, send sms and… with 3g SIM-card inserted, please tell me, thanks !!!
If anyone know anything more about update to Android 4.0 ICS, please tell me, thanks !!!

I purchased a GT-P7300 Galaxy Tab 8.9 WIFI + 3G in the Netherlands this summer.
I did so with the prospect of soon being updated to Android 4.x.
Now it is e.o. Septemberm the tab is still on 3.2 and I start feeling like an idiot when again and again checking for an upgrade that still has not arrived (and never may)…
Unfortunately I experienced similar with my Samsung LED TV and the only rudimentary ‘built in’ mediaplayer that was supposed to evolve with coming upgrades.
I have the feeling that this is the way of Samsung to get a quick buck when selling products and then showing the disrespect they obviously have towards their customers as if being afraid they would return to buy more (which I will NOT).
