According to the data released by an analytics firm Kantar World Panel, the iPhone 6s was the best-selling smartphone in the US (with 11 percent sales) in the three months ending June 2016. The Galaxy S7 was the second-best clocking in 9 percent sales during the same period, while the iPhone SE stood as the third best-selling smartphone in the country with 5 percent sales.
In the three months ending July 2016, the iPhone SE was the third top-selling device in the US, capturing 5% of smartphone sales, behind the Galaxy S7 at 9%, and the iPhone 6S at 11%.
Things won't be this rosy with the Galaxy Note 7 though, due to the whole exploding batteries fiasco. Samsung has ordered a massive recall of its latest high-end phablet in most of the markets around the world due to faulty batteries.
